We are not a professional aid organization.

We are people from Germany and Romania who refuse to look the other way.

Once a year—or more often—we take time off work, load our vehicles with relief supplies, and drive several thousand kilometers to the Romanian Carpathians.

There, we visit people, some of whom we’ve known for many years.

Elderly people living alone, families with children, or people living in simple homes without the comforts we take for granted in Germany.

Many of us still remember our first encounter with these people.

The gratitude in their eyes.

The warmth with which we were welcomed.

The realization that happiness is often found in the simplest things.

These experiences have changed us.

That’s why we keep coming back.

Not because we have to.

But because we want to.

And because we know that our help makes a difference.
